An incredibly funny, sharp and relatable new series, Seffi Bellamy is an unforgettable and hilarious hero, from an extraordinary new voice in teen fiction, Beth McColl.
10:01PM: My name is Seffi Bellamy, I am fourteen years old and my life - since you asked - is going very badly. Things are so terrible that I've downloaded this diary app just so I can keep up with all of the bad things happening to me. I will be writing here every single day until conditions approve.
10:17PM: I have changed my mind. Keeping a diary is deeply cringe behaviour and as a perfectly rational teenage girl I will be deleting this app POST HASTE which I think means immediately. Goodbye forever.
Seffi Bellamy's teenage years are not turning out anything like she'd planned. Her home has been invaded by her 32-year-old half "sister", in just a few short days she will begin Year 10 and she still has no idea what she's good at, and two weeks ago she had one tiny panic attack and now her mum keeps making SUCH a fuss.
And worst of all, she's now being forced to see a counsellor every two weeks, who has forced her to download a journal app, which is now forcing her to write in it.
With an irresistible voice and a hugely relatable heroine, this is the funniest book of the year - perfect for fans of Geek Girl, Better than the Movies, and The Romantic Adventures of a Drama King.
